Rates and Fees

To meet the needs of all my clients, I provide two fee structures.

Retainer:  This structure is for clients who are ready to commit to a long-term, professional relationship.  In addition to being a cost savings, because the retainer rate is discounted approximately 15% from the pay-as-you-go rate, this structure works best for most clients.  It guarantees the client a specific amount of time each month for my services. The client chooses how much time they want to contract for each month with the minimum being ten (10) hours.  Please be advised that retainer hours do not roll over into the next month.

Pay-As-You-Go:  This hourly rate structure is best for clients who will not require a set number of hours monthly.  It also provides an opportunity to "try it before you buy it" - a chance to see if virtual assistance is something that will work for them.  This rate is slightly higher than the retainer rate and requires a $100 retainer before any work can be started.  This amount will be applied to hours used during the first month.

Billable Time:  Any time I spend related to your business is considered billable time.  In addition to the obvious things like project management, word processing and document preparation, it includes things such as:

v      Time spent on the phone with you, and making and answering calls on your behalf or in your interest.

v      Any reading or research I have to do to learn about your business and industry in order to be more valuable resource for you.

v      Learning any software that is specifically for you and your business.

v      Reading, composing and replying to email messages on your behalf or related to your business.

v      Time spent obtaining supplies, postage or equipment specifically on your behalf or related to your business.

Expenses:  Any expenses incurred on the client's behalf such as postage, photocopying, courier fees, office supplies, software, etc., are charged to the client and are included on the following month's invoice.  Receipts for these expenses will be provided upon request only.

Invoices and Payment:  Clients are invoiced by email or fax on the 25th of the month and payment is due by the 5th of the following month.

Remember, I am an independent contractor and, as such, pay my own taxes, use my own equipment and work from my own office. You, as the client, do not incur any charges for these items.
